We do the boring part of shopping
BuyerVerdict exists because comparing products properly takes hours nobody has. We spend those hours once, write down the reasoning, and let you disagree with it.
What we actually do
For each category we build one shortlist. Before looking at products we decide which qualities matter for that product type, then measure every candidate against the same list. Products that arrive later are measured against the standard that already exists, not a new one written to suit them.
How this is paid for
Retailer links may earn us a commission. That commission never changes a ranking, and a product with no available affiliate link can and does take the top spot. Nobody can buy placement, and we do not accept payment to review, delay or remove a verdict.
What we will not claim
We are not a laboratory. Where a figure comes from a manufacturer rather than an independent source we mark it as such, and a claim nobody has checked never counts as proven. Saying "we do not know" on the page is preferable to guessing confidently.
Corrections
When we get something wrong we change the page and note what changed. If you can show that a score rests on a bad source, send it over and we will re-grade the category.
